Assessment of the nutritional status of children in school

Abstract
The data on the actual nutritional situation of children in the school have been provided. The comparison between the results of the children actual nutrition assessment with gravimetric method and results of menu production record calculation method revealed obvious differences: the last were on average 20 % higher. The obtained data on the actual food of school students as a result of application of two methods allow carrying out accurately further correction of the school menu taking into account food preferences of school students. Application of the gravimetric method in sampling researches already at a stage of approbation of the menu at schools gives the chance to establish causes of children refusal to eat meals, included in the integrated hot breakfasts.
