Analysis of the influenza epidemiology in the south-western Siberia in 2012–2013
Abstract
When monitoring influenza in Western Siberia in the season of 2012–2013 we isolated 196 influenza virus strains in MDCK cell culture, including 85 A/H3N2 strains, 100 influenza B virus strains (Yamagata lineage was predominant), and 11 influenza A/H1N1pdm09 virus strains. Antigenic features of isolated strains were analyzed. It was shown that all strains were variants of those strains that are used in the compound of polyvalent anti-influenza vaccine.
