Robotic thoracic surgery (first experience)

Abstract

The aim of the study: evaluation of the possibility of the robotic-assisted operations and immediate results of robotic-assisted operations in thoracic surgery. Materials and Methods: 14 patients (8 – metastatic tumors of lung, 3 – peripheral lung cancer, 3 – tumors of the anterior mediastinum) have been operated with Da Vinci system. Results: intraoperative and postoperative complications not occurred. The results testify to the high effectiveness and safety of the robotic-assisted operations.
