Pulmonology development in Siberia
Abstract
The article widely covers actual problems of pulmonology, history of national pulmonological service development, represents possible ways of development of pulmonology in Russia. Initiator and organizer of pulmonological service development in Novosibirsk and West-Siberian region was academician of RAS, professor, honored worker of science of Russia, honored professor of NSMU L.D. Sidorova, creator of pulmonological service in West-Siberian region. Pulmonological service is presented as ambulance and hospital patient care institutions with 11 specialized receptions within the principal urban hospitals with special medical service within the town and in the region. The pulmonary centre was created on the basis of region hospital, its principal purpose is reduction of patients’ invalidity and mortality figures at the expense of increase of effectiveness of specialized assistance on early pre-clinical diagnostics and treatment of most abundant respiratory diseases.
