Author Affiliations

Abstract

Summary: 102 patients with Q wave - myocardial infarction were studied on markers of inflammation in acute, sub-acute period and in 6 months of disease, associated with the presence or absence of metabolic syndrome. The data allow us to consider CRP, IL-6, IL-8 as indicators of the acute inflammatory response, and IL1-? and TNF-? as indicators of chronic inflammation. The majority of markers have higher concentrations in the presence of metabolic syndrome.
