Abstract
The article is devoted to one of the most common problems of surgical phlebology – varicose recurrence after surgical treatment of varicose disease of the lower extremities. Purpose: the identification of the most important factors of recurrence of varicose disease, the choice of optimum tactics in solving this problem according to own observations. Material and Methods: the results of clinical observation, examination and treatment of 68 patients with varicose recurrence after surgical treatment of varicose disease. The reasons, which lead to varicose recurrence are: technical errors during the surgical intervention; the natural progression of the disease; noncompliance of the recommendations in the postoperative period in a compression mode and venomotor therapy, the absence of regular medical check up of patients with varicose disease. Taking the results of this research into account, certain conclusions and recommendations have been made, which are aimed to improve the quality of surgical treatment of varicose disease of the lower extremities.
