Author Affiliations

Abstract

To avoid energy deficit in extreme conditions of physical exercises in expeditionary restrictions of the transported load, it is necessary to take into account the energy efficiency of the nutrition used. The purpose of this study was to evaluate energy efficiency of the specialized nutrition SPM-17, intended for extreme conditions, considering sex. Material and methods. 18 practically healthy volunteers aged 20 to 59 years (7 men, 11 women) were examined within 4 hours after taking SPM-17 by indirect calorimetry. Results. SPM-17 energy efficiency averaged 95.6 %, did not differ between men and women.

Key words
