Morpho-functional evaluation of musculo-elastic arteries fragments after decellulariza-tion

Author Affiliations

Abstract

To study the effect of detergent and enzyme decellularization methods on the morphology and biomechanical properties of the vascular extracellular matrix of the brachiocephalic arteries. Material and Methods: Fragments of arteries were decellularized by detergents or trypsin, and then washed and examined with histological and physical methods. Results. Detergent method is more effective for purification of the vessel walls from the cells, maintaining its original mechanical strength and the spatial structure of the framework.
